Goodbye to Summer

Although fall does not officially start for a while, the end of summer for me usually comes with Labor Day weekend and the start of school. While in Mexico, the change of seasons was one of the things that I missed most about living in Maryland. I suppose that each season has it's own merits, but the transition from summer to fall is one of my favorites. It's bittersweet to put away the beach gear and leave the summer fun for a return to school.

Today is my first official day of meetings to begin the school year. So as I return to work, let me share some beauty with you. Here are some of my favorite images to bid adieu to summer.

This is going to be an exciting new school year for the minnies and me. It's hard to believe that they are going to be in 4th grade. It seems like they've grown up overnight and while I love the little ladies they have become, I miss my baby girls. Thank goodness for friends with little girls! For me, this new school year is a new opportunity and a chance to truly create a program. I'm grateful for the opportunity and trust that have been given to me. My personal life is in a wonderful and beautiful place and it shows on my face.
