Tailgate Time!

One of my favorite fall activities is tailgating. Whether it's a football game or a steeplechase, tailgating is always a great way to spend a fall day. This time of year is perfect to be outdoors. It's not too hot, not too cold, and most of the time you can get away with a sweater or light jacket.

This is oh so preppy...

Unbreakable...and monogrammed!

Tommy Hilfiger's latest ad campaign is called The Ultimate Tailgate. Photographer Craig McDean captures Hilfiger's fictional ad family in classic tailgate scenes that represent everyday American life. I love the dog and carefree look of this picture.(Photo from WWD)

And this little book is modeled after The Official Preppy Handbook, but focuses on the art of tailgating!

My favorite tailgating outfit involves corduroys, a pop of pink with a sweater and Murfee scarf and my waxed Barbour coat. If it's mucky and muddy, then I'll wear my pink herringbone Swellies, too!

What's your must have for tailgating? What do you like to wear to tailgate on a crisp fall day?

Happy Tuesday!!

  4. I will have to get my hands on that book! I love tailgating at UK games and at Keeneland Race Course in the fall. Such fun! Good food and drinks and a great fall wardrobe - the perfect combo. :)

  5. I love the Skotch grill! I always keep an eye out for them...unfortunately they are a collectors item and can't be used for grilling anthing anymore. Would be nice if a company created something similar that could be used!
