Making Merry Music

Imagine a lovely holiday party. You've perfected on every last detail for the party. The food smells and looks delicious. The tablescape is elegant and inviting. The doorbell rings and you realize that the closest thing you have to quality Christmas music is the Alvin and the Chipmunks!

Luckily, making the perfect holiday mix is easy and you'll be making spirits bright in no time. You could always play a compilation cd or let your ipod surprise you, but there's nothing like a good old fashioned mix cd at a party. To help build your music collection, Amazon has over 100 Christmas albums available for download for only $5!

Here are some favorites that top my list:

What songs top your holiday music mix?

Another classic for the chic holiday party is the big band sound of Lester Lanin. Maybe I'll don my beanie that lovely Jessica sent to me while I enjoy the festivities and music! Don't you just love the pink and green lettering?

Happy Music Mixing!

  1. I love the Christmas albums from the Big Band folks. I have two favorites that I play often: Louis Armstrong and Friends Christmas and a CD I got from Banana Republic a few years ago, also featuring Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin and others from that era. Great tunes!
