A Case of the Winter Blues

I'm feeling very blue today.

Seriously, I think seasonal affective disorder is real.

I need a big dose of warm sunshine and happy people!

  1. I'm with you girl! I was up in the Baltimore area earlier this week for work and it was SO cold.

You should move to Charlotte! Skies are blue (most days) and there are still green things here!

    Is it summer yet?!!

  2. Yes, dear Bethany, it's that time of year for it. This is the first time in 10 years I haven't felt and I used to get it BAD. Sometimes I couldn't get out of bed - awful!

Then when we moved to this house I did something different. I took our formal living room and formal dining room and I made everything white. Creamy white walls, white furniture, white decorations - and then I added touches of pink. I know, it sounds awful but it's quite pretty. Even men have commented on how much they like it! The sun shines through even on the coldest of days but it 'looks' like summer!
I'm not telling you to redecorate your house (unless you want to, of course), but throw back those curtains, bundle up and go for a long walk outside!! And pray for an early spring.

  3. I am one of those freaks who actually STILL goes to the tanning bed in the winter 3 or 4 times for a big dose of Vitamin D. I really truly believe it works. I have it BAD too. Lots of love. xoxo

  7. I know... This winter has been especially long, cold, and blah. I don't necessarily need summer, just a nice 70 degree, sunny day. Big sunny hugs to you!

  8. I am right there with you, and was talking about that a few weeks ago. Have you had your Vitamin D levels checked? My doctor has me taking suppliments, but I'm really not sure I've noticed a difference. Ba Humbug!
