More Classroom Valentine Ideas

The airplane Valentine is for a real smartie! What an inexpensive and creative Valentine.

My daughters told me that "all of the Valentines" have to have candy. She said that no one just gives a paper Valentine. This lollipop butterfly is easy to make using a pattern and even the youngest child can help with the cutting. You could hand write the greeting or use a stamp. Michael's has a good selection of holiday themed stamps for only $1.

Who knew match boxes could be so pretty? Decorated little boxes with a special treat are a cute little Valentine. You can find these little favor boxes made by Wilton in the wedding favor aisle of your favorite craft store.

If you prefer to give another little gift instead of candy, recycled crayons are a gorgeous option. Last year, the minnies and I made recycled crayons using candy molds and they really enjoyed it. Yours will be the most unique Valentine.

Joanns sells red, pink, and white foam circles that work perfectly for Valentine fortunes. Write or print fortunes and conceal in the folded foam circle. Decorate craft bags and you'll have easy and beautiful Valentines. I especially like the little tulle bows.

Another easy Valentine is the flower lollipop. Again, engage your little ones by having them actively participate in the Valentine making process. Part of the fun for my girls is making the Valentines.

What fun ideas do you have for Valentines? Did you make a beautiful and unique Valentine this year? Please share a link to your project or send a picture to me. I'd love to share your ideas. Last year, my friend Rachele made the most adorable ipod inspired Valentine for the minnies and they loved them!

P.S. Lilly Lovers! Get ready because Rue La La is featuring Lilly Pulitzer this Sunday at 11:00. I expect things to sell out quickly, so set up your account now and shop what should be a pretty fantastic sale. If you're not a member of this invitation only website, here's your invitation.
