Got Style?

Recently, the lovely Nelle from Stone Hill Farm tagged me for the Stylish Blogger award. You should read her blog, you'll love it. She takes the most beautiful photographs and showcases our lovely state of Maryland so well.

As part of the award, I am supposed to share some things about myself. Hopefully, you want to know more about me! As easy as it is to write for Maryland Pink and Green, it is often difficult to write about myself. But here it goes; 7 things you may not know about me...

My favorite candy is Twizzlers. I'm partial to the original red twizzlers, but have recently branched out to the cherry ones, too. When I was living in Mexico, it was impossible to find these. I used to buy a supply of Twizzlers and bring them back in my suitcases in Costco sized containers. They weighed so much!

In college, one of my fondest memories is my involvement with my sorority, Phi Mu. I pledged during my freshman year and loved it! Many of my sorority sisters are still among my closest friends. My fondness for all things pink started here.

Oaxaca, Mexico was my home for six years. This street, the Andador Turistico, is one of my favorites because it is closed to traffic. It is full of art shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Santo Domingo church, where the minnies were baptized, is also here beside an incredible museum and ethnobotanic garden. I used to spend hours on this street...

During the summer of my junior year, I was a White House intern in the Office of Political Affairs when George Bush was president. It was an exciting and unforgettable experience. Interestingly enough, during that summer, I was only in the White House one time, when we met with Chief of Staff John Sununu. The Old Executive Office Building was where I worked every day.

Summer is my season! I love warm weather, sunny days, and the beach. If someone asked me if I prefer a ski or mountain vacation or a beach vacation, the beach vacation would win every time. Of course, a nice pool will also suit me just fine.

Although I love all kinds of music, my ipod is in a slight 80s time warp. I used to have the biggest crush on Simon Le Bon from Duran Duran. All of my friends liked the Taylor boys, but I was all about Simon. He was always in some exotic place on a yacht doing something really exciting. And he had good hair.

For the 7th thing, I'd love to tell you something that you want to know! Leave a comment and let me know what you would like me to share. I'll choose one of the questions to answer in a future post.

Thanks to Nelle for the sweet tag! All of the other lovely readers, consider yourself tagged as a Stylish Blogger. Share your answers and be sure to send me a link so that I can read more about you.

Have a great day!

xoxo
