One Maryland Pink and Green reader recently sent the following note to me: “I love the idea of wearing orange, but I’m not sure what colors or neutrals are a good match.”
Orange. Tangerine. Carrot. Ginger. These shades of orange are bright and cheery. Orange makes me think of summer days and all things sunny. But orange accessories can take you through the end of summer as a fantastic transition piece to fall. In fact, I think that when worn correctly, orange can become a neutral that you can wear all year long.
Here are some of my favorite picks for orange handbags, purses, and totes.
So now that you have some great accessories on the radar, how do you pair them?
Orange is a fantastic color that can add a pop to your outfit. Orange and navy look spectacular when paired together. This match is a perfect transitional combination for late summer and early fall.
Lilly loving peeps are sure to appreciate orange and pink. In some closets, these two colors are practically a neutral! Try to pair orange with a bright pink shade for the most dynamic Palm Beach effect.
Other options include orange with crisp white or neutral beige. And believe it or not, orange looks amazing with the right shade of green. They are opposite colors on the color wheel, so they complement each other perfectly.
