Jules Reid Fall Winter Collection

Jules Reid is one of my favorite designers. Her bold use of color and pattern is amazing and fearless. The Fall/Winter 2011 line, Jules’ fourth collection, is a continuation of this theme and adds new elements such as rich textures and new materials to her clothing.

The Virginia tunic, named after Jules’ home state (and mine!), is a top seller in every season. I have a Virginia tunic for almost every Jules Reid season. My all time favorite print is green kiwi, but for the new fall collection, the Geo Fencing print is gorgeous. The rich texture of the velvet trim at the neck, cuff, and hem adds so much depth and detail to the tunic. You need one of these in at least one print.

Incredibly versatile, the tunic looks fantastic for work or weekend. Paired with jeans, the Virginia tunic is a perfect option for any weekend event and is dressy enough for a gathering with friends. Pop on a pair of Tory Burch Revas and you’ll be the best dressed.

The Augustus mini dress is somewhat of a chameleon. Wear the 100% silk dress straight with a pair of tights for an easy, polished look. Mix things up a bit and belt the mini dress with rich velvet skinny pants. You can even wear this dress with jeans. I adore the flowy-looking sleeves and velvet embellishment.

The Gwenyth dress is lined to keep your tights from sticking to the fabric of this silk satin dress. Available in four prints, my favorite is the Elephant Love Black. The dress has elegant ¾ length sleeves and would fall just above the knee of my 5'4" frame.  Perfect length for work.  Who do you think inspired the name of this uber chic dress?

What is your favorite piece from Jules Reid's fall collection?

You can find Jules online, at boutiques in the U.S. and world wide, as well as on facebook

  1. Hello Dear Bethany - (can't believe we're thinking fall already! Eeek!)

Love that tunic - I live in South Florida so I can wear tunics year-round - thanks for the fashion heads-up!

Have a wonderful Thursday - love your blog and all your interesting posts! (Best wishes to the Minnies!)

  2. I'm loving all the pieces, especially the tunic because I get so much wear out of them!

  3. I am also a big fan of the Virginia tunic. It has definitely become a wardrobe stable for me.

I am so in love with the Vera dress in the Elephant print from this fall's collection! Such a fun print!

Hope you and the Minnies are enjoying summer!

  4. Last summer I bought a similar navy tunic from Liz Clairborne Outlet (for $11 I might add). It's now one of my favorite shirts!! I love than I can dress it up or down and make it appropriate for any function. I'm for sure going to be adding more tunics to my closet whenever I get the chance.
