S'mores Party

Smores are the quintessential summer camp snack. You probably have fond memories of roasting marshmallows over a campfire as a child. My minnies love smores and enjoy this special treat with anticipation. But smores aren't just for summer camp anymore!

Smores is an easy and fun party theme that is perfect for children (and adults) of all ages. Perhaps you remember tried Peep Smores at Easter this year.

This summer, you can make your smores a little bit more sophisticated with some of these fantastic ideas. Add a pretty tray or some containers to your dessert table for smores. Isn’t this 3 tier tray oh so elegant with graham crackers, chocolate bars, and marshmallows?

You have so many choices for roasting your marshmallows. Use an outdoor fire pit or fire place, gas burners, or even a microwave. Alternatively, you could place marshmallows on single graham crackers and roast in the oven for a while. Guests could then add other ingredients and top off the smore.

This summertime treat is also a fantastic and inexpensive party favor. Arrange ingredients in pretty boxes or cellophane bags and adorn with ribbon. Your children can even help you put these party favors together.

Be creative and add some non-traditional ingredients to your smores dessert buffet.
- Marshmallows of different flavors and colors (strawberry, chocolate, etc.)
- Bananas
- Strawberries
- Nutella
- Cajeta (Mexican caramel sauce)
- Peanut butter

What's your favorite summer smores combination?
