Room and Board Goes Pinkalicious

Room and Board, Washington’s premier retailer for contemporary American-made home furnishings, will welcome award-winning Pinkalicious author Victoria Kann for a book signing and party for her fall book in the series, Pinkalicious and the Pink Pumpkin.

The event will stage at Room and Board’s 1840 14th Street NW showroom on Saturday, October 15 from 11am – 1pm. Parents and their children will enjoy a intimate reading followed by a book signing, with fun activities and snacks for the kids.

Says author Victoria Kann,“Fall is one of Pinkalicious’s favorite seasons because of all the wonderful colors and also because she gets to visit the pumpkin patch. In Pinkalicious and the Pink Pumpkin, her family makes a trip to Mr. Pink’s Pumpkin Patch, and she just has to find that perfect pink pumpkin!”

Pinkalicious and the Pink Pumpkin is the tenth book in Kann’s series about a little girl named Pinkalicious and her adventures theming life around her favorite color. In Pinkalicious and the Pink Pumpkin, Pinkalicious visits a pumpkin patch and searches high and low for a pink pumpkin.

Join me at this event in the four-story showroom that houses an expansive collection of American-made, well-designed children’s furniture. This year’s collection is fresh and modern and filled with pieces that are versatile and will please parents and kids alike.

Here are some of my favorites...

The Mackintosh High Footboard Bed.  A gorgeous bed that grows with your child!

Shay Glider and Ottoman.  What a fantastic alternative to other gliders I have seen for new mommies.

To celebrate the collection, Room and Board will be giving away a set of four Little Jake chairs and a Jill table from the children’s line to one lucky family the day of the event by random draw. A miniature model of Room and Board’s popular Jake chair for adults, the Little Jake chair features polished chrome and vibrantly-hued, hand-molded plywood. Chrome legs support the Jill table’s natural plywood table-top, which has an easy-to-clean finish, completing the perfect matching set for any trendy tike.

For more than 30 years, Room and Board has been making quality contemporary home furnishings built to last. From toddlers to teens, the store’s furniture line for kids features beds and bunks, nursery needs, desks, dressers, bookcases, and storage pieces. Room and Board also carries accessories under the children’s line, from bedding and lighting to rugs and wall art.

Hope to see you there...I'll be wearing pink!

xoxo
