Frame a Year

Do you save your calendars from year to year? Although I keep a paper calendar with dates, appointments, and addresses; I usually rely on my phone to keep me informed and on time. I’ve been using a Lilly Pulitzer agenda for the past few years. The pages are so pretty and colorful.

When I got my new calendar, I was not sure what to do with last year’s calendar. I didn’t want to throw it away, so I decided to give the colorful pages a new purpose.

An inexpensive frame, some double sided tape, and 10 minutes is all you need for a fantastic little pick me up for any room.

Simply arrange the paper on the mat and secure it with double sided tape. Be sure to check the view from the front to make sure that you like the way the print is aligned. I didn't worry too much about the way the papers looked on the back of the mat. When I say that this took me 10 minutes, I mean it.

Once you've placed all of the papers, put the mat in the frame. You've got almost a year's worth of pretty papers in a cute frame!

This quick craft is easy to create with scraps of paper, shopping bags, or wrapping paper. There are a million possibilities!

- Take pretty pieces of wrapping paper from a baby or bridal shower and frame them as a fun reminder of the event. Place the invitation in the center of the frame.
- Frame shopping bags from some of your favorite stores.
- Highlight bits and pieces of the best artwork from your child's year at school.  A perfect way to recognize and remember their work without having to save every piece of their work from school.
- Frame pretty scraps of fabric.  Add a decorative touch to a bedroom with framed fabric in matching or coordinating fabric.  You could use a pillowcase or other small scraps of fabric to do this.  Be sure to starch and iron fabric before framing.

Have a beautiful day!

xoxo
