Pumpkin Patch Style

pumpkin patch

Today we’re headed to the pumpkin patch to enjoy a day of fall fun! The weather is supposed to be gorgeous. Although the pumpkin patch is hardly considered a place for a fashionista to show her style, it’s important to consider what to wear.

Comfort is key at the pumpkin patch. You’ll be climbing up and down hills, haystacks, and tractors. You may be sitting on haystacks or benches, or even on the ground. Jeans are a natural choice.  I like Joe's Jeans because the petite sizes are a perfect fit for me.

Fall weather is so variable. Dress in layers to make sure that you are prepared for any kind of weather. We could have temperatures from 50-75 degrees at the pumpkin patch. Bring a lightweight jacket.

Don’t be a pumpkin. Although it’s tempting to wear something orange, try to avoid it. The pumpkins and cute kids have the orange covered at the pumpkin patch. Plus, you’ll look better in pictures at the pumpkin patch if you are not wearing orange camouflage. Choose neutral fall tones in brown, yellow, blue, and green.

Protect your eyes. Sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun and help prevent wrinkles, but sunglasses also help keep dust out of your eyes during a hayride. Farms and pumpkin patches always seem to be so dusty, so shades are a must.

Bring a tote. You’ll probably be carrying a million little things for everyone in your party. Bring a tote bag to keep your hands free.

Boots are best. Boots will keep your feet warm and dry no matter what the weather. Every year I hear children complaining that their feet are getting scratched by the hay and corn…because they are wearing flip flops! Uh oh!

Enjoy your day at the pumpkin patch with some sweet apple cider and other fall treats!

Have you gone to a pumpkin patch yet this year? What things do you like to do at the pumpkin patch?
