Shopping, Food, & Entertainment at Sugarloaf Craft Festival

The Sugarloaf Craft Festival is an incredible opportunity to meet over 250 artists as they showcase their creations. From the show opening until the end of the day, the large indoor space at the Maryland State Fairgrounds was busy with lots of shoppers.

You’re probably not surprised that I managed to find quite a few good things during my trip. In fact, I did a lot of Christmas shopping at the craft festival. There were items for every budget and taste. The minnies fell in love with the wooden flowers and hats for children.

My favorite find was an uber preppy raincoat from Outside Designworks. The waterproof rain gear is actually laminated fabric. It's incredibly light and airy and has a completely different feel than other raincoats I have had in the past. This print is a Liberty of London print.

There are matching hats, too!

From furniture to pewter to clothing, toys, and jewelry, the variety of crafts is amazing.

You can also see the artists at work during craft demonstrations. Alexia had the unique opportunity to "help" the stone sculptor with his creation in granite.

The specialty food is also very popular with visitors. We sampled countless soups, dips, and other delicious items. Puppy parents loved the dog treats!

Wine slushie, anyone?

The entertainment at the Sugarloaf Craft Festival is also top notch. The girls enjoyed the puppet show from Middle Earth Studios. Audience participation was just as cute as the show! We heard well known songs from Stan and LeeAnne as we enjoyed our lunch.

Check out the Sugarloaf Craft Festivals' website for information about upcoming shows and ticket information. I highly recommend this festival!

What kinds of things do you like to see at craft festivals?
