You can also donate extra Halloween candy. My daughter Alexia has a wonderful plan for our leftover candy and candy that we are collecting from others. She has organized Operation Sweet Tooth and is collecting non-chocolate candy (lollipops, Jolly Ranchers, Starburst, Twizzlers, etc.) to package and send to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Five large boxes of candy, notes of well wishes, and other goodies have already been sent to Iraq. She is working on more boxes to send to Afghanistan on November 5. It's a great way to involve children in a good cause and I am proud of her for doing this.
What are you doing with your extra Halloween candy? What Halloween treats are your favorites?

What a sweet idea from your daughter!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the self control...candy is my weakness! I adore Yorks and always justify them as healthy candy. That’s very sweet to share your sweets with the troops! xx
ReplyDeleteI've heard Milky ways are the worst if you do eat chocolate!
