|Still clinging on to every warm day!|
The good news is that the school year is off to a great start. The not-so-mini-anymore Minnies love middle school and went to their first school dance last Friday. You’d be proud of me; I showed great restraint and didn’t snap a single picture of the girls before the dance in the gym lest I embarrass my cool 6th graders! It’s hard to believe that they are getting so grown up! Everyone always tells you to enjoy and treasure every moment, and they are right. Childhood seems to evaporate overnight and before you know it, you’re sending your babies to college. Luckily I have a few years before that happens.

These days, the girls’ schedule with poms, piano lessons, dance, and church keeps me busy as a Mommy Chauffeur. I get paid in hugs, drawings, and coin purses made out of colorful duct tape. Ha!
I have fantastic, hard-working students this year, which makes every day at school a joy! I have been concentrating on writing a blog for my students and am using Twitter in class. Students are using technology appropriately in class and they love to send their tweets in Spanish. On top of everything else, I’m taking 9 graduate credits this semester in order to finish my Master’s program. Whew!

Don’t worry. I’m slowly adjusting to the busy semester and have so many things that I’m eager to show you. It may just be a slower blog schedule until January. Thanks for reading and bearing with my intermittent posts.
