Never fear, Alexia, your DIY Mom is here!
We went to Joanns to get some Mod Podge and extra fine silver glitter. I chose the gloss finish for the Mod Podge because I thought it would work well with the glitter.
Here are the poor Sperry Top Sider boat shoes before the re-glittering. The original glitter and sparkle are worn and tired looking.
The process to make sparkle shoes is easy! First, use a brush to apply an even coat of Mod Podge on the shoes.
Sprinkle glitter on the shoes and shake off the excess. I let the first coat dry for an hour. Then I repeated the process with another coat of Mod Podge and more glitter. Finally, I finished with a top coat of Mod Podge.
The final result looks amazing and is better than new!
Great job!
