Healthy After-School Snack

I'm hungry, Mom!

Are these familiar words at your house?  Now that school is back in session, I decided to share one of my favorite after school treats with you.

In some schools, children may eat lunch quite early and often arrive home very hungry.  Although it's tempting to give something pre-packaged to your children, healthy snacks are a better option.

Luckily, the minnies love fruits and vegetables and eat a healthy, balanced diet.  Of course they like grapes, but they LOVE frozen grapes.  I discovered the art of freezing grapes in Mexico, while I was preparing for a New Year's Eve celebration.

Frozen Grape Lollipops can be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer in a storage bag.  They're cool, especially in warm weather, and everyone loves them.

The only things you'll need are grapes and lollipop sticks.

Using the side of the grape with the hole on it, poke a lollipop stick through the end.  Depending on the length of your stick and how many grapes you would like on it, slide down the grape accordingly.  Add as many grapes as you want.

Pop the treats in a freezer safe storage bag and voila!  It's a healthy and delicious treat.
