American Girl Isabelle

Every year, American Girl releases a new doll for the Girl of the Year. Isabelle is a dancer who loves to dance and design. Today, the girls and I visited the American Girl store in Tysons Corner to catch a glimpse of Isabelle in person. When we arrived at the store at 10 a.m., the 100+ person line already stretched down the inside of the mall.

I met two delightful and articulate girls in line. Maddie and Caitlyn were thrilled for the release of Isabelle. Maddie is a ballet dancer who performed in the Nutcracker, just like Isabelle does in the second book in the series. Her favorite scene from the Nutcracker is Snowflakes. Both girls love design and their mother helps to make costumes at the ballet studio. Isabelle's story resonates with Maddie and Caitlyn because she's a dancer who loves to design costumes.

What happy, lucky girls!

I expected the doors to open at 11 a.m., but to my surprise, we were allowed to enter the store early, at about 10:45. Once we got inside the store, it was incredibly busy. The employees at the store were very helpful and kept bringing out new stock as the inventory on the shelves disappeared. I'm not going to lie, I kind of get a rush out of extreme shopping experiences like this.

Isabelle has thick blond hair and hazel eyes. She really is beautiful!

I like it that so much of Isabelle's collection can be purchased individually to mix and match. If you have a dancer at home, you know that there are multiple layers to a dancer's outfit.

Of course, there are lots of items to match girls, too!

Isabelle's studio is absolutely stunning and would be the ultimate gift for any girl.

I love to see the excitement of the girls who love the stories of American Girl. It was a wonderful day!
