6 Essential Spring Shorts

After months of cold weather and gray skies, put some spring into your step with some classic shorts for spring. Today I've carefully chosen six of the best that you'll want to add to your wardrobe ASAP. I love the classic look of tailored city shorts. All of these shorts have conservative lines and a 5 inch inseam, while having a fresh take on things with new prints or textures.

Navy printed shorts are an excellent transition piece because the color works well at almost any time of the year. Of course the elephant print on the pink shorts is at the top of my list.

Do you ever wonder what to wear with brightly printed tunics besides white jeans? Pair your loudest prints with chambray shorts. It's a new neutral for spring and summer. I also love the delicate eyelet texture of the mint green shorts. Pair it with a navy blue tee for a crisp spring look.

Of course, I had to include my favorites from Lilly Pulitzer in this fantastic list of shorts! The scalloped edge on the perfect pink shorts is a whimsical touch to basic spring shorts. The Callahan shorts are fitting more true to size than the fall delivery, but I still preferred to size up in these shorts so that they are comfortable around my waist and leg.

Are you heading somewhere warm for Spring Break this year? Have you started to shop for spring?
