It's perfect for traveling because it has a hidden pocket where you can pack it into the little zipped pouch. There's even a drawstring to carry or hang the pouch. I had this vest stuffed into the pocket for about a week because I had it in another bag. Let me tell you that it came out of the bag looking like it had just come off of the rack. Perfection. In a bag.
John and I took a stroll in a pedestrian corridor to enjoy the break in the weather. The man-made canal was still frozen solid, but it was so interesting to see the "inside" of the canal. The linear park is actually a flood control project and is beautiful at any time of the year, with decorative bricks, bridges, sculptures, and trompe l’oeil mural.
I paired the Allie vest with my favorite jeans that only cost about $25 and fit me like a dream. Although I try on and like the look of some much more expensive jeans, the availability of petite sizes and great fit for my curvy body keep me running back to Old Navy to buy jeans. My strategy is to try on the perfect size in the store every season just to make sure that the fit is the same and then I order the petite size online. I'm about 5'4" and the jeans are a perfect length for me. For the past few years, the jeans have been consistent in size. I'm wearing a size 4 here.
In other news, we're eagerly preparing our valentines for family and friends this week! I thought that you might enjoy seeing some adorable conversation hearts that are in one of my favorite Lilly Pulitzer stores. Are you giving special treats to friends and family this year for Valentine's Day?
