Shopping + Sightseeing = Perfection

Wherever I go, I always squeeze in some shopping along with my sightseeing. As I look around my house, I realize that many of the things that I enjoy the most are purchased that I made while on vacation. Whether it's a weekend trip to a location that is relatively close to home or an international locale, I treasure unique items.

During a trip to Williamsburg, Virginia, I found some treasures for the house and a Tervis tumbler. Here's a glimpse at my most recent purchases.

Upon first glance, these blue and white melamine plates look like they could be made out of paper. The environmentally friendly plates are made out of melamine, making them a perfect choice for outdoor concerts and festivals. Each plate features a different blue and white pattern.

A brass pineapple door knocker brings a touch of elegant hospitality to any home. If you don't have a door knocker, there's also a pineapple door bell.

The girls and I loved all of the delicious soaps that remind me of my Nana. The hydrangea and magnolia smell particularly delightful.

If you missed out on the Lilly for Target pineapple serving plates, these are an excellent choice. The white pineapple melamine bowls come in two sizes and are perfect for picnics or outdoor entertaining, matching every d├ęcor and style.

Tell me about some treasures that you found while shopping on vacation? I'd love to hear what you bought.
