Back to School x 3

We're starting to get into a routine at Casa Pink and Green after a whirlwind week of preparation for back to school and two fabulous first days. Meetings, training, and planning filled last week to the brim, although I carved out some time to put the finishing touches on my classroom. I used a Lilly Pulitzer Garnet Hill fabric shower curtain to cover my desk and added a tassel garland that Alexia made. I love the final result.

For the first day of school, I chose a knit Janice dress, a perfect choice that didn't wrinkle and looked great all day.

Natalia and Alexia started high school this year! It's so nice that they attend the same school where I teach, so that I see them during the day. They're keeping busy with clubs and as a part of the poms team. I'm looking forward to the first football game in a few weeks. Both girls decided to wear Lilly for their first day of school.

In addition to teaching full time, I'm also taking a class this fall, so things will be quite busy. So far, my week paints a preview of what looks to be a fantastic semester. Right now, I'm teaching Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Advanced Studies, and AP Literature. Whew! Here's the Lilly Pulitzer Marlowe dress that I wore on day 2.

I love to use technology with my students, to learn Spanish in a different way. Yesterday, students used QR codes to read paragraphs that their classmates had written about a person or character. The activity helped them to practice writing and reading while moving around the room (and the hallway!) using their phones.
