Valentine's Day Tea

A group of friends joined me at home for a GALentine's Day tea party. I busily prepared sandwiches, scones, and other treats to enjoy with hot or iced tea in preparation for the party.

Every tea party must offer a cucumber cream cheese sandwich and my event was no exception. For the tea sandwiches, I chose delicious croissants or artisan bread as a foundation. My favorite bread, tomato basil, comes from Panera.

For the place setting, I secured the napkin with a grosgrain ribbon napkin ring and added a Table Talk conversation spoon. Croutons added extra to the cup of roasted red pepper soup that began the tea. Delicious vanilla bean or chocolate chip scones and chocolate covered Oreos topped off the sweet meal.

Everyone enjoyed opening the fortunes that I picked up from Anthropologie as they ate their food.

My dear friend Patti and I didn't plan to wear the same exact color dress, but great minds think alike!
