Hi, I'm Caroline.
Maryland mom of three, lifelong lover of pink and green, and your new friend who always knows what to bring to the party.
I started Maryland in Bloom at my kitchen table, after one too many friends asked for my crab dip recipe and my secret to a calm-ish morning with three kids.
What began as a place to keep my favorite recipes and outfit ideas grew into something I never expected: a little community of women who love the same things I do. A beautiful table. A well-cut shirtdress. A long weekend on the Shore. The small, daily rituals that turn an ordinary week into a good one.
I'm not a stylist or a chef or an expert in much of anything except, maybe, getting everyone out the door more or less on time. I'm just a mom who believes that beauty is worth the effort, that hospitality is a love language, and that there is no problem a fresh bouquet can't soften.
So pour yourself something cold, settle in, and stay a while. I'm so glad you found your way here.
Love, Caroline
A few things close to my heart
Classic over trendy
I dress, decorate, and entertain in a way that will still feel right in ten years. A little pink, a little green, and a whole lot of grosgrain.
Real over perfect
Our house is lived-in and our mornings are loud. I share the pretty parts and the messy ones, because both are true.
Local at heart
From the Bay Bridge to the Eastern Shore, Maryland is woven through everything I write. This is a love letter to home.
