Quiz: Which Lilly Pulitzer Print Are You?
Take the quiz to find your Lilly Pulitzer print personality — coastal, bold floral, citrus-and-palm, or classic pink and green — with a fun decision map and the story behind the prints.
Every Lilly Pulitzer print has a personality. Some are loud and tropical, some are sweet and gardeny, some are pure Palm Beach pink and green. And if you have ever stood in front of a rack agonizing over which one is you, this is for you. Grab a sweet tea, tally your answers, and find your print.
First, a little history (it’s good)
The whole thing started with a stain. Lilly Pulitzer opened a juice stand in Palm Beach in the late 1950s, and to hide the splatters on her clothes she had a dressmaker run up shift dresses in bright, busy prints. The dresses outsold the juice. Those prints — designed in-house at a studio the brand affectionately calls “the bunker” — became the signature, each one hand-painted and given a whimsical name. As Fashionista’s history of the label notes, a young Jacqueline Kennedy wore one and sent the look national. More than sixty years later, the prints still do what they always did: make you smile.

Your results
Mostly A — Coastal. You are breezy, easy, and never far from the water. Your prints are the watery blues and greens, the shells and the waves. You would wear Lilly on a boat and mean it. You will love a long weekend on the Eastern Shore.
Mostly B — Bold Floral. You are warm, generous, and a little theatrical, in the best way. Big, joyful blooms are your whole language. You are the friend everyone wants planning the shower — speaking of which, here is my Lilly-inspired baby shower and nursery.
Mostly C — Citrus & Palm. You are sunshine in human form: tropical, punchy, unbothered. Oranges, palms, and turquoise are your signatures, and you bring the party. Channel it into a DIY Lilly Pulitzer pumpkin come fall.
Mostly D — Classic Pink & Green. You are the keeper of the tradition: tasteful, timeless, quietly preppy. Blush pink and garden green are your forever colors, the same ones I build my wedding palette and preppy spring wardrobe around.
A Maryland postscript
Lilly is having a real moment again across the DMV — you will spot the prints at the Annapolis boat shows, at Preakness infield parties, at every Bethesda baby shower worth its petits fours. Whatever your print turns out to be, the lesson Lilly Pulitzer left us is the same: life is too short to dress in beige. Wear the bright thing. And if you are throwing the get-together where everyone shows up in their prints, my perfect preppy party playbook has you covered.
